Albert Villaneda

Albert Anthony Villaneda is a Senior Attorney at Mansell Mansell Ayala + Villaneda, where his practice focuses on primarily plaintiff-side catastrophic personal injury cases.

Mr. Villaneda’s legal career began at a plaintiff-side law firm where he helped prosecute many high-profile lawsuits.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Villaneda learned how to prosecute a case from ‘day one.’  Executing effective trial strategies, Mr. Villaneda has recovered multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of his clients.  Mr. Villaneda has mastered how to identify, and exploit, the insurance company’s defense tactics.  His aim is to get you every ounce of justice you deserve!

In 2015, Mr. Villaneda argued a federal appeal before the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals before a veteran panel of judges – some of which who also adjudicated President Donald J. Trump’s Muslim ‘Travel Ban.’  In that same year, Mr. Villaneda also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Steven J. Kleifield in the Los Angeles Superior Court – Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

Mr. Villaneda earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA, and a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.  He is admitted to practice in California state courts and the Central District of California. In 2020, Mr. Villaneda was selected by The National Trial Lawyers as one of California’s ‘Top 40 Under 40.’ This professional organization composed of the top trial lawyers from each state who are under the age of 40.  Membership into The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40 is by invitation only and is extended exclusively to those trial lawyers practicing civil plaintiff and/or criminal defense law.

• January 2021: Vehicular Negligence (versus UIM Insurer) – $1,000,000
